PAUL JOHNSON

Military Careers & Transition Specialist

Paul Johnson serves as Assured Consulting Solutions’ (ACS) Military Careers and Transition Specialist (MCTS), a cornerstone of the company’s commitment to supporting the military-connected workforce. In this role, he leads ACS’s efforts to recruit, support, and retain transitioning service members, military veterans, and Guard and Reserve personnel, helping ensure their successful transition into and continued growth within the organization.

Paul plays a key role in shaping employee engagement strategies for military-connected personnel, providing mentorship, guidance, and advocacy across the employee lifecycle. His work directly supports ACS’s broader commitment to building a mission-ready workforce that reflects the experience, discipline, and leadership of those who have served.

In addition to his work as MCTS, Paul is a Systems Engineer at ACS, where he delivers mission-focused geospatial and technical solutions to Department of War and Intelligence Community customers. He brings a practical, engineering-driven approach to solving complex operational challenges, grounded in decades of hands-on experience.

Paul’s career spans nearly 30 years of combined military and government service. Over that time, he has held a wide range of technical and operational roles, including Systems Engineer, Lead Systems Integrator, Senior Systems Administrator, and Imagery Analyst. His diverse background allows him to bridge mission needs with technical execution while also deeply understanding the transition challenges faced by service members entering the civilian workforce.

He holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Computer Information Systems, earned summa cum laude, from the University of Mary Washington.

Paul was awarded the Bronze Star for exceptionally meritorious achievement during Operation Desert Storm, reflecting his long-standing commitment to service and mission excellence.

Outside of work, Paul has been married for over 40 years and is a proud father of three adult children. Originally from Montana, he has called Virginia home for more than three decades. He enjoys working on vehicles whenever he gets the chance and has served as a moderator for the Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair community on Stack Exchange for the past 10 years.
