As more than half of our Assured Consulting Solutions (ACS) family has served in the military, we extend our personal thanks to each of our veterans for their courage, sacrifice, and service to this great country. We are honored that much of what we do at ACS is in support of our nation's warfighters and that we have the privilege of serving our nation together as a team.
Each year since 2013, ACS has given back to our local communities and to military and veteran organizations. We are proud that in 2018 we were able to build on our tradition of giving and increase our level of support. On behalf of all of our veterans, ACS made a charitable donation of $10,000 to the Semper Fi Fund. In addition, ACS matched $350 in employee charitable contributions for a total charitable contribution of $10,700 to the Semper Fi Fund in 2018. Even better: Our $10,700 donation was generously matched by the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation, providing an even greater impact to the Semper Fi Fund and its mission.
Why the Semper Fi Fund? The Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 combat wounded, critically ill, and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the US Armed Forces, and their families, ensuring they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities. The Semper Fi Fund has an A+ rating from CharityWatch.org, only one of two veteran nonprofits to receive such a rating. They also have maintained a Four-Star charity rating from Charity Navigator for eight consecutive years, an achievement attained by only 3% of rated charities.
Looking Ahead: 2019 Charitable Giving. We know how much our employees value giving back to the communities where we all work and live. For 2019, we’re excited to announce that ACS will match employee charitable contributions all year long, from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019. ACS will match eligible employee contributions at a rate of one-to-one up to a maximum ACS annual charitable contribution of $25,000. In order to provide the biggest impact, we chose one U.S.-based 501(c)(3) military and veteran organization charity that will be eligible for 2019 ACS charitable contribution matching - the Semper Fi Fund once again. Our employees considered and voted on three options: the Semper Fi Fund, Fisher House Foundation, and National Military Family Association.
